Meet John Hanrahan
John Hanrahan is an acclaimed fitness professional, performance coach, author, and founder of PrivateTraining.com.
A former Penn State University NCAA All-American wrestler, UWW World Champion, Olympic Training Camp Strength Coach, and nationally recognized NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, John brings more than three decades of elite-level experience in strength training, athletic performance, recovery, and wellness coaching.
John studied Exercise Science at Penn State University and holds advanced credentials through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Throughout his career, John has trained elite athletes, executives, Hollywood personalities, and individuals of all fitness levels — combining science-based performance systems with real-world coaching experience.
Before becoming one of America’s most recognized personal trainers, John was also an international fashion model whose work included campaigns for Gianni Versace and major international publications. His unique journey from NCAA wrestling to the fashion world, and ultimately to elite performance coaching, helped shape his dynamic approach to physical conditioning and personal transformation.
